Biography

Ty Dennis can't remember a time in his life when he wasn’t drumming; his father, an accomplished jazz drummer, always had a drum set in the house. Ty Dennis’s early exposure to jazz, rock, and funk influenced his style.

In the mid-1990s, Ty Dennis established himself as a quality session drummer, impressing band members, audiences, and producers. Throughout his nineteen years of professional experience Ty Dennis worked with artists in many musical genres.  His credits include legendary band The Doors of the 21st Century, The Robby Krieger Band, The Motels, Elephant Ride, and his two current projects, Firebug and Three From None. Ty also made several television appearances, including the Carson Daly Show, Craig Kilbourn, MTV Japan, and VH1 Classics.

When Stewart Copeland broke his arm, Ty filled in for him in The Doors of the 21st Century. After a few television performances and live concerts, the band asked Ty to replace Copeland. Ty joined them on a world tour and continued to perform with them today.
