Biography

Thomas Armon Pridgen was greeted by success as a child and hasn't stopped since. At nine years old, Thomas Pridgen won Guitar Centerís prestigious Drum-Off 1992. The following year, Thomas Pridgen was the youngest recipient of an endorsement from Zildjian Cymbals. Even more endorsements from major brands followed, including Evans Drum heads, Drum Workshop drums and hardware, and Vater drum sticks. In 1999, Thomas Pridgen received a scholarship to Berklee College of Music.

Just barely beyond being a student himself, Thomas Pridgen has already performed in clinics with geniuses like Walfredo Reyes Jr. and Dennis Chambers.

In 2007, Thomas Pridgen joined The Mars Volta at the invitation of founder Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. He immediately jumped at the chance to begin touring and join them in the studio. Later that year, they recorded The Bedlam in Goliath and released it in 2008. Thomas also worked with Mars Volta founder Omar on his solo album in 2008.
In 2009, Thomas Pridgen created The Memorials with fellow Berklee alumnus Viveca Hawkins and Nick Brewer. They released their self-titled debut album on February 14, 2011.
