Calling themselves the Pressure Boys, they initially performed covers of songs by Madness and Bad Manners. However they quickly started developing original material.

Pressure Boys played all around the Southeast and gained a following. They landed gigs to touring with popular acts like Duran Duran, Billy Idol, Fishbone, and R.E.M. In 1987, they released the Krandlebanum Monumentus LP, but decided to go their separate ways the following year.
