Biography

 
 

Musician/teacher/engineer Rob Hart has been performing and instructing in the San Francisco Bay area since 1985.  Rob Hart has performed and recorded with The Isley Brothers, Dave Mann, CC Deville, Kai Eckhardt, and Stu Hamm. Additionally, Rob has been featured as an opener for Spyro Gyra and Bennie Maupin.

A graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Rob Hart has studied Mike Clark, Gary Chaffee, Steve Smith, and the late Tony Williams. In 1985, he established the Rob Hart Drum Studio.  Kevin Coleman of Smashmouth, Troy Luckketta of Tesla, and many more aspiring drummers have come through Rob’s doors seeking instructions. Rob Hart leads various rhythm workshops and clinics in the Bay area.

Rob Hart also has his own performance group called the Rob Hart Trio.  They play an exciting blend of traditional jazz, fusion, Latin, funk and on-the-edge textural experimental music.
